O PARQUE MUNICIPAL CINTURÃO VERDE E O CONFORTO TÉRMICO EM CIANORTE - PARANÁ

Abstract

This work deals with the performance of the Cinturão Verde de Cianorte Municipal Park as a factor that acts in the microclimatic conditions in the urban environment. Until then, only its biological aspects had been studied. We aim to demonstrate how this forest body influences or not the thermal comfort of the inhabitants of this city. To this end, we carried out field research by collecting data on climatic elements in pre-defined places in the city, located at strategic points, bordering forest modules, in central areas of neighborhoods and in intermediate points to both. Subsequently, by obtaining data on temperature, relative humidity and air speed, we can calculate the respective thermal sensation attributed to the instant at each point. After the proper categorization of the results, it was possible to assess the extent to which the forest park is capable of acting on the climatic characteristics of Cianorte, as well as the elaboration of a map with the microclimatic influence zones of the park on the city. With this study, the importance of vegetation and the existence of environmental conservation areas for the thermal balance and maintenance of the ideal humidity level for human health becomes clear, corroborating the relevance of effective environmental policies.
