A MOBILIDADE DA FORÇA DE TRABALHO DE URUGUAIOS NA FRONTEIRA SUL DO BRASIL: UMA LEITURA A PARTIR DO CENÁRIO ECONÔMICO DO MERCOSUL
Abstract
This article aims to conduct an analysis of the dynamics involving the mobility of labor force between the federative units of the Southern region of Brazil and Uruguay. This research is justified by the understanding that the uneven development established by the current economic system territorializes itself in the geographical space. Therefore, it is necessary to deepen the relationship with the mobility of workers in the border environment. To achieve this, a brief bibliographic discussion was conducted, in which the concepts related to the topic were highlighted, namely: mobility, territory, and border. The research proceeded with the collection of relevant information on the geographical, social, and economic characteristics of the area under analysis, including immigration, worker admission, and dismissal, based on secondary data from the Ministry of Labor and Employment . The analysis method used was dialectical, with a comparative procedural methodology, using the states of Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul as reference. Finally, it is important to emphasize that the results obtained from this material were satisfactory, as the qualitative and quantitative information aligned with the stated objectives and methods.
