ANÁLISE DE POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS EM CAMPO MOURÃO – PR

Abstract

The ageing of the world's population is the main change brought about by the demographic transition, due in particular to the reduction in birth rates and the increase in life expectancy. Thus, the aim of this research was to investigate the main actions, projects and public policies in the health and recreation sectors aimed at the elderly in the municipality of Campo Mourão-PR, evaluating them and proposing other actions. The methodology adopted was exploratory research based on a survey and analysis of theoretical and statistical data, and the collection of primary data through interviews with local public policy managers and questionnaires with elderly participants in the "Terceira Idade em Ação" project, developed in the municipality. As a result, it was noted that the public authorities are engaged with the elderly population in Campo Mourão. The establishment of laws and the development of specialized programs, actions and projects for the elderly have shown important results in promoting health, leisure and quality of life, but they still need to be expanded.
