AMPLIAÇÃO DO REPERTÓRIO ESPORTIVO NA ESCOLA POR MEIOS DOS ESPORTES DE REDE NÃO CONVENCIONAIS
Abstract
The objective of this study was to analyze how the inclusion of unconventional net sports in Physical Education classes for a fourth-grade elementary school class can contribute to students' development beyond traditional sports. Twenty-nine students from Anísio Teixeira Municipal School in Curitiba, Paraná, participated in the study. Data were collected during an 11-lesson teaching sequence covering the following sports: Shuttlecock, Manbol, Sorvebol, Badminton, Mirimbol, and Beach Tennis. For better understanding, we divided the sequence into four stages: presentation of the topic, practice of unconventional net sports, creation and practice of a new game, and evaluation. Data were collected through a field diary and photographic records and organized using elements of content analysis proposed by Bardin (2016). The study revealed strong student interest and participation, with students learning concepts, procedures, and attitudes related to the sports developed. Furthermore, they were able to connect this knowledge to other subjects studied, based on the internal logic of sports. Based on these results, it's possible to conclude that unconventional sports are viable and should be developed in schools. Furthermore, offering a variety of sports provides students with new knowledge and contributes to the legitimacy of the discipline. Keywords: School Physical Education, Sports, Unconventional Sports.Downloads
