PENSAMENTO SOCIAL DE CARIOCAS E BAIANOS ACERCA DE VIAGENS TURÍSTICAS NA PERSPECTIVA DAS REPRESENTAÇÕES SOCIAIS
Abstract
Tourist experiences include political, social and economic variables, which makes tourism a complex and highly relevant social object. This sector influences the economy of the countries by moving capital, generating consumption and jobs. It is known that both Bahia and Rio de Janeiro are Brazilian states that stand out in terms of tourism and, therefore, the objective of this research is to demonstrate the social thinking of Rio de Janeiro and Bahians about tourist travel from the theoretical focus of the field of studies of social representations and, more precisely, its sub-theory, the central core theory. The method covers the technique of free evocations from the term inductor trip collected in a sample composed of 160 participants, 80 of them from Bahia and 80 from Rio. Data analysis was performed by prototypical analysis and similarity analysis. The results show a common representation to both groups about the trip as something associated with beaches and fun, but with differences, since the Cariocas present more operational ideas while the Bahians, more affective.
