O ESTUDO DOS PROCESSOS EROSIVOS EM CABECEIRAS DE DRENAGEM
Abstract
This work aimed to analyze the location of linear erosion processes in different data, in rural and peri-urban areas, applying the concept of drainage headwaters in unchanneled valleys. For this purpose, the drainage network and erosion features were obtained from 1980 aerial photographs, through photointerpretation techniques, and from high-resolution satellite images from 2019, in addition to observation of the forms in the field and checking of information obtained by photointerpretation. The data were integrated into a Geographic Information System, which allowed the overlapping of information and the establishment of relationships between the location of linear erosion processes and drainage headwaters. The results indicate a close relationship between the location of erosions in concave headwater areas in unchanneled valleys. However, the identified erosive features do not occur exclusively respecting the flow direction of this geoform, but also occur in straight lines or / and transverse to the drainage axis, due to anthropic interventions. This demonstrates the importance of considering the natural characteristics for the planning of activities.
