Abstract
The book “Marx's coat” is a work with a profound aspect, linked to the affective, memory and symbolic bond between individuals and articles of clothing. Each chapter portrays cases in a personal way, so that the reader identifies and sympathizes with the characters' feelings. There are three chapters in total, the first being titled “The social life of things: clothes, memory, pain”; the second “Marx’s coat”; and the third “The mystery of walking”.
