Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Artigos Livres
- In this section, the minimum title for submitting articles is master's student;
- Articles must be between 12 and 20 pages long, following the guidelines of ABNT NBR 14724:2011, which determines A4 size, with the following margins: top 3 cm; inside 2 cm; left 3 cm; and right 2 cm.
- The article files sent for submission must be in .doc or .docx format.
- In accordance with NBR 6022:2018, the article must be original, i.e. present original themes or approaches; or a review (in the case of reviews) that analyzes and discusses previously published work.
The structure of the text, as set out in NBR 14724:2011 and NBR 6022:2018:
- Title: in the language of the document and in English; font: Times New Roman, size 12, centered and bold;
- Abstract: in the language of the document; concise presentation of the relevant points of the document; from 100 to 250 words; font: Times New Roman, size 12, justified, single-spaced (1.0) and single paragraph;
- Keywords: from 3 to 6 words, separated by semicolons, in alphabetical order and just below the abstract;
- Abstract: in English, following the same rules as the abstract, should be inserted after a blank space in the abstract;
- Keywords: in English, following the same rules as the keywords, just below the abstract;
- Body of the text:
a) Font: Times New Roman size 12;
b) Line spacing: 1.5;
c) Paragraph spacing: 0;
d) Alignment: justified;
e) First line indent: 1.25 cm to the left margin;
f) Subheadings: bold and justified. Sections should be italicized and justified;
g) Expressions in a foreign language: italics;
h) References in the text: standard author-date (e.g.: Hartog, 1999, p. 252);
i) Quotations: direct quotations of up to 3 lines should be placed in quotation marks in the body of the text, followed by the standard author-date reference (see item h). When this limit is exceeded, the quotations must be highlighted with a 4 cm left indent, justified, Times New Roman font size 10, without quotation marks, separated by a blank space above and below the quotation, and justified. If necessary, use ellipsis in square brackets. The introduction of certain terms or interventions should use square brackets;
j) Footnotes: Times New Roman font size 9, single-spaced and justified;
k) “Endnotes” should not be used;
l) Illustrations, graphs, tables and charts: they can be inserted in the body of the text, as long as they are accompanied by their titles and the fonts used in the caption field (at the bottom of the figure, Times New Roman font size 10 and single spacing). Images should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi, in .jpg or .png format;
m) Pages should not be numbered;
n) References should appear as the last section of the article and should be in Times New Roman font, size 12, 1.0 spacing and left alignment, separated from each other by a blank space. We have adopted the use of italics for the expressions In and et al. and for the referenced titles, as proposed by NBR 6023:2018. They should therefore follow the following formats:

Resenhas
- Reviews must be between 3 and 10 pages long;
- Review files sent for submission must be in .doc or .docx format.
- Critical reviews of books and films will be accepted, with no restrictions on the date of publication of the works;
- A summary/abstract and keywords are not required for the reviews;
- The structure of the text must follow the following order:
- Title: in the language of the document; font: Times New Roman, size 12, centered and in bold;
- Body of the text: the rules follow what has already been established for articles.
Primeiros Passos
- The “First Steps” section is the space for submitting texts produced by undergraduates in History (BA and/or BSc);
- The undergraduate's advisor must be indicated as co-author of the work, who must have a minimum master's degree;
- The files of the articles sent for submission must be in .doc or .docx format.
- Texts should contain between 10 and 20 pages;
Text structure, as set out in standards NBR 14724:2011 and NBR 6022:2018:
- Title: in the language of the document and in English;
- font: Times New Roman, size 12, centered and bold;
- Abstract: in the language of the document; concise presentation of the relevant points of the document; from 100 to 250 words; font: Times New Roman, size 12, justified, single-spaced (1.0) and single paragraph;

Entrevistas
4. ENTREVISTAS:
4.1. Serão aceitos somente (2) AUTORES;
4.2. A seção objetiva a publicação de entrevistas de temática livre com nomes de destaque nas áreas de interesse da revista ou que dialoguem com a temática proposta pelo dossiê. Os manuscritos devem ser originais e inéditos, sendo aceitos em fluxo contínuo;
4.3. O texto deve acompanhar com os termos de autorização concedidos pelo entrevistado.
Traduções
5. TRADUÇÕES:
5.1. Serão aceitos somente (2) AUTORES;
5.2. A seção aceita traduções para o português de artigos publicados originalmente em outras línguas, que sejam relevantes na área de interesse da revista;
5.3. Será solicitado que as traduções sejam acompanhadas do texto original e da permissão para tradução e republicação assinadas pelo autor e/ou editor original;
5.4. Seguir os parâmetros exidos para os artigos (Normas da ABNT; Formatação; Citação; Estrutura).
