urban and rural streams, water qualityAbstract
This article brings some information about two river basins, and a water quality study from the streams. The greater difference between river basins areas is the soil utilization and occupation. While one of them is completely urbanized, the other one has the area used for agriculture. The results from field visits and water quality parameters showed that the human presence contributes to the channel degradation. The Mandacaru stream receives a high load of wastewater and urban waste. At Romeira stream, urban waste is not usually observed, and the human presence is not quite disturbing. Thus, making a general analysis, we may percept that the anthropogenic urban area affects more the ambient than the field area.Downloads
