Analysis of plasmid DNA of Rhizoctonia spp. associated with bean and peanut
Abstract
The aim objective of this study was to isolate plasmids of Rhizoctonia solani and binucleate Rhizoctonia spp. and verify their presence with pathogenicity. Isolates of Rhizoctonia solani AG 4 HGI from bean and hypovirulent isolates of binucleate Rhizoctonia spp. obtained from bean plant and peanut fields in São Paulo State, Brazil, were analyzed as to presence of plasmid DNA; and the association between plasmids and pathogenicity was evaluated. Only the isolate FJ-39.10 of R. solani contained a 2.6 kb plasmid DNA. It was not possible to establish correlation between the presence of plasmid and the virulence or hypovirulence of isolatesDownloads
