establishment and yield of rice in pre-germinated system
Abstract
The purpose of the present research was to study the effects of different water management during the sowing, in pre-germinated system, on the establishment of two rice cultivars and the effects on yield components and rice grains production. The experiment was conducted in amianthus cement boxes of 500 liters of capacity with alluvial soil with two rice cultivars (IAC 102 e Epagri 108) and three water managements (1 - sowing in water and maintenance of constant water level; 2 - sowing in water and water retreat after three days; 3 - sowing in water and natural evaporation). Taking out water from the field, three days after sowing also resulted in a better seedling establishment. Water level management by natural evaporation resulted in the highest number of total spikelets per panicle. The grain yield was not affected by water management. Yield of IAC 102 presented higher number of plump spikelets per panicle, relating to greater grain yieldDownloads
