Abstract
The present paper was a field conducted study carried out in Embrapa- CNPA, Campina Grande, state of Paraíba, Brazil, in the agricultural year of 1998 and it aims to present an effect evaluation of main stem and fruitful branches remotion of leaves on vegetative development and cotton production (Gossypium hirsutum L.), cultivar CNPA 7H, with three manure treatments: no remotion of leaves, remotion of leaves from main stem and fruitful branches. The experimental design was completely randomized with ten replications. According to the results, remotion of main leaves reduces the plant height, leaf area, stem diameter and mainly the production of fruits in the first and second fruiting positions.Downloads
