Effect of abscisic acid on micropropagation of cassava (<em>Manihot esculenta</em> Crantz)
Abstract
ABA effect on micropropagation of Mantiqueira cassava, Manihot esculenta (Euphorbiaceae), is provided. An entirely randomized design with 10 replications and four treatments (0; 0.1; 1.0 and 10.0 mg/L of ABA) was statistically delineated. Data of characteristics (number of leaves and roots; length of aerial part and roots; weight of total dry matter) underwent variance and regression analyses according to ABA concentrations. Models were chosen on determination coefficient and on the significance of regression coefficients by Student's t test at 1% probability. When good adjustments for regressions failed, data were discussed according to descriptive analysis. Results indicate that ABA inhibits cassava seedling growthDownloads
