Angular leaf spot control in bean with calda Viçosa
Abstract
Calda Viçosa and its modifications were evaluated in angular leaf spot control and yield of common bean. The trial was conducted in a greenhouse, in a randomized block design, with eight treatments and five replications, using milionário 1732 cultivar in 1 dm3 pots. Each pot received 2.5g of 4-14-8. Each experiment unit had two plants per pot. Plants were sprayed 28 and 35 days after emergency. Phaeoisatiopsis griseola was inoculated 36 days after plant emergency with 106 conidia per mL. The following treatments were evaluated: 1 - calda Viçosa; 2 - calda Viçosa with ammonium molibidate; 3 - ammonium molibidate; 4 - calda Viçosa without magnesium sulphate; 5 - calda Viçosa without zinc sulphate; 6 - calda Viçosa without boric acid; 7 - methyltiophanate, and 8 - check treatment. The evaluation was done according to a severity scale from 1 - no symptoms, to 9 - maximum severity, and grain yield. The highest yield was obtained with calda Viçosa without boric acid. Calda Viçoosa and its modifications and methyltiophanate did not differ in relation to angular leaf spot controlDownloads
