Abstract

Aimed to evaluate the performance of poultry hybrids to meet demand for genetic material in alternative systems of creation. It was used 648 chicks of both sexes from the crossing between, broilers breeders males and of races Rhodes Island Red, White Plymouth Rock and Barred Plymouth Rock, distributed in six treatments with six replicates and 18 birds in each experimental unit, being the period rating from one to 56 days of age. The caracteristics evaluated were: body weight (PC), weight gain (GP), feed intake (CR), feed conversion (CA), and carcass weight (PCA), legs (PCS) and chest (PP). The experimental design was completely randomized design with six treatments with six replicates each. It was carried out analysis of variance, and when significantly to level of 5% probability was applied to the test Tukey. The PC at 56 days and the GP from one to 56 days was significantly lower for hybrids from crossing between of males broilers breeders and females White Plymouth Rock, a similar result was also found in the parameters and PCA PCS, but the PP did not differ significantly. Such that, does not recommend the creation of hybrid resulting this cross in alternative systems.
