Abstract

Emphasis given to motherhood and the right of practicing one’s citizenship are an increasing concern within researchers and health professionals’ field, especially those dealing with Public Health. Female activities in society have always been stereotyped by the domestic and motherhood roles. Women’s consolidation in the labor sphere not only produces real conflicts with home issues, but also modifies social behavior. Within these social perspectives, women undergo victories, experiences and conflicts in their search for existential fulfillment. The possibility of a female existential search may be detected in the wake of current scenario. The aim of this research is to investigate woman’s health in its physical and emotional aspects within the social context. Female health will thus be understood by a biological, psychological and social perspective. It will thus be a contribution towards a dialogue between different women’s assistant professionals’ points of view.
