Abstract
In this study, we discuss the importance of educational activities, reading, physical, recreational and leisure activities for the quality of life in old age, aim the transformations that occur with the aging process and some possibilities to seek a balance between the potential and the limitations of older people, via an always-on life. We highlight yet, the involvement of undergraduate degree in letters, Education Center, arts and letters, of the Federal University of Acre, with activities that relate to this social group, which still suffers, in our society, the consequences of discrimination and stereotypes with human old age, because we are a society that still haven't learned to value the elderly person.
