‘Hell is the others’: the constitution of public space as a place of freedom in Arendt

Abstract

In this article we are interested in human drama, as it is woven in the plural space, in which were vealours elves in front of the other, with out subterfuge, breaking with the fear caused by the unpredict ability and irreversibility of our action. It is in this sense that this text presents a sentence by Sartre representing the human relationship. There is no way out for those who venture into the public arena, asserting them selves by their uniqueness and the miracle of their appearance – yet another voice in front of the myriad of voices. On the other hand, the mass man loses due to his fragility and the lack of self-control. These hards hips that the world off ers can be narrated: they are events that gain meaning, starting from na angle in the face of different perspectives. Therefore, we will seek to explore this problem from the perspective of Arendt.
