Disabled students’ admission and permanence in higher education schools
Abstract
Disabled persons have some difficulty in being admitted and carrying further their higher education studies, especially due to the absence of an appropriate institutional assistance policy and lack of trained and experienced professionals to deal adequately with this kind of students. The case study carried out at a public Brazilian university focusing on the aspects of access to information and communication, and on the attitudes involving disabled persons was used as parameter for the improvement of higher education policy proposed in this study.Downloads
