Abstract

Tourism has become an activity massified, dedicated to leisure, in the period after the 2nd World War and was in the twentieth century that appeared the new modes of activity, such as business segments, events, religious and health. In the city of Maringa, where there's no natural amenities and, consequently, the ability for leisure tourism, there is a promotion of the city, by the agents, in other words, government and local entities, to the tourism and business events, fact related to growth and economic diversity of the city. There are many challenges to such agents Maringá become a major tourist center, for issues related to urban infrastructure and tourism should be improved.
