Abstract

The present study aimed to build two geoecological profiles, with the geoenvironmental characteristics of the Serrano Martins-Portalegre Complex. For this, was used the landscape as a category of analysis, under the systemic perspective of Bertrand (1968). As regard to the theoretical-methodological construction of the research, works that used the type-section and geoecological profile were read, such as Levighin and Viadana (2002), Cavalcanti (2014), Santos, Lira e Pinto (2017), Ramos et al. (2019) and Santos, Ruchkys and Travassos (2021). For the construction of the profiles, the Alos Palsar Digital Elevation Model (DEM) was used, where were generated by the QGIS Software 3.10.5 version A Coruña, in scale 1:200.000 through the Plug-in Profile Tool. As for the physiognomic elements of the landscape provided in the profiles, with the aid of an online graphic design platform, seeking an approximation of the reality represented, based on data from mappings and photographs from the field research. As a result, the Martins-Serrinha geoecological profile and the Portalegre profile were obtained. Thus, interpreting the landscape of the study area from this methodology allowed us to know its variations and how the geoenvironmental elements are structured and spatialized in an integrated manner. Therefore, the results of this work can help in the geoenvironmental studies of the research area in question, as well as collaborate in the fortification and dissemination of the landscape analysis technique.
