Abstract

The present research aims to discuss the importance of Environmental Education for Geography teaching and how digital media can be an important ally in this process. Working at an integrated development headed to the relevance of the technological applications in the didatic process, presenting through a critical perspective the production and the digital geography products allied to the Environmental education, discussing about some difficulties and potential usage of this methodology as a pedagogical tool. A discussion is then made about how the digital media allows a better conception of the study object, having as analytical spectrum geomorphological relations of erosion like splash erosion and topographic conditions of floods. It also presents an argument about the difficulties faced by the education professionals in their respective approach of the digital media as an educational proposal. There are also two methodological bases of different complexities, using specific softwares for animation and basic package software at the majorities of the computers operational systems. The centrality of argumentations presented fosters standart ways of the production of an audiovisual material capable of synthesizing a phenomenon and breaking the abstract and imaginative plan in the description of a dynamic and procedural process. Media, methods and criteria then promote a real perception of abstract or idealized environmental dynamics through a kinesthetic product with pedagogical and perceptive potentialities that allow the approximation of Environmental Education and digital media.
