Didactic-pedagogical proposal for teaching Geomorphology in Basic Education
Abstract
Man is a transforming agent of terrestrial modeling and his action on the relief causes problems of different natures, involving social, environmental, economic and political issues. In this work, urban anthropogeomorphology is highlighted, since it is evidenced as an essential branch of Geomorphology for the understanding of anthropic action in the modeling of cities, allowing the understanding of geomorphological processes, the prediction of catastrophic phenomena and the urban-environmental planning of cities. This work aims to present a didactic-pedagogical proposal to discuss urban anthropogeomorphology in school Geography, since it is important for students to understand more about anthropic action in relief at different geographic scales. The proposal presented has a qualitative approach, of the experience report type, and was built for the conclusion work of the discipline "Human Impact on the Physical Environment: Prognosis and Dimensioning", offered in the semester 2021. 1, in remote format, by the Postgraduate Program -Graduate in Physical Geography at the University of São Paulo (PPGF-USP). The results achieved show that it is important to use differentiated didactic-pedagogical proposals that bring the Geomorphology content closer to the reality experienced by students, in order to enable them to perceive the changes and dangers that human action can cause in the landscape. In addition, the result leads to a reflection and criticism about the curriculum in Degree in Geography, which does not always include methodological proposals that are more relevant/adherent to the students' daily lives and this, in turn, does not adequately prepare the undergraduates for the full exercise of teaching.
