Abstract

The analysis of the suspended load of a river is very important for understanding the basin dynamics and environmental condition. The objective of this study is to comment various methods of analysis for fluvial suspended load. The flow, beginning along the valley slope increases in volume and erosive strength, enters in channel and can deposits in floodplain or be transferred to an upper order channel. In its path suspended load in fundamental not only on alluvial plain morphology but on ecological functioning of river system. Basin land use or hydrological alterations directly affect the quality and quantity of suspended load. Under this perspective this paper presents the fundamentals of suspended load formation and transport processes and the more common methods in their analysis.
