This paper reports an experience with teenagers using the group technique for the promotion of sexual and reproductive health, coordinated by a team of nursing. Creative Sensitive Method was used as a pedagogical strategy for focus group activities and collective construction of knowledge. The group meetings occurred in 2009 and the topics discussed were: sexuality, sexual behavior, safe sex, contraception, pregnancy in adolescence, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Human Immunodeficiency Virus, Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome and others. The use of group technique as a strategy for the promotion of adolescent’s health is consolidated as a significant learning space and support to face difficulties. This space is presented as a powerful strategy of advocacy and awareness of young people for self care of their sexual and reproductive health, promoting the exchange of experiences, strengthening self-esteem and creativity.
