Abstract

It was defined as goal: understand the revealed meanings by nurses to take care of child with chronic condition. Research of qualitative approach supported in the Thematic Analysis. Eight nurses participated of the study of the Pediatric service of an University Hospital found in the northeast of Brazil. Five themes will be descripted in this handwritten. They are: Appreciating the religious and faith in the care to child with chronic condition; Route of the chronic condition; Maternal feelings, expectations and attitudes; Intervening Social Factors and Social Isolation. In the care relations the professional and family support revealed as a necessary support for life quality maintenance and guarantee of whole care. In this context the nurse care to the child with chronic condition requests an extended comprehension of care enriched of subjectivity and objectivity for consistent decisions with the child and family necessities.
