Abstract

"HIV / AIDS - Quality of Life” (HAT-Qol) is an instrument used to measure the quality of life of HIV-infected individuals. The study examined the quality of life of individuals with HIV infection, related to the socio-demographic and clinical data. Data collection was performed by retrospective analysis of medical records of 450 patients registered, then the instrument was HAT-Qol. Met the inclusion criteria, 169 patients. The analysis showed that There was influence of age in relation to the Domain which assesses satisfaction with sexual activity and marital status in relation to the Domain that assesses awareness about HIV. The time of diagnosis have an influence in domains relating to general activities, health concerns, financial worries, HIV awareness, satisfaction with life and issues related to medication. So quality of life was better in married or cohabiting individuals in relation to the Domain that assesses awareness about HIV and patients with HIV plasma viral load below 50 copies / ml plasma in relation to issues relating to medication.
