Home visit by professionals from the family health estrategy program

Abstract

The Family Health Strategy (FHS) has as one of its focus the attention to the family and it must be accomplished through Home Visit (HV). The objective of the study was to analyze the practice of home visit from the professionals of the family health team. The study was of exploratory and descriptive type with qualitative approach, carried out in five units of family health, contemplating 14 teams, in Varzea Grande - MT. The subjects of the study were doctors, nurses, nurse technicians and community health agents. Data was collected by means of focal group technique and analyzed using the technique of thematic content analysis. The results showed that the home visit has been carried out in a fragmented way, without the presence of the whole team and focused in the sick individual. It was observed that for the visit to be a form of integral attention to the individual and in agreement with family the proposal of the FHS program, it is necessary changes in the organization of the working process of the family health teams.
