Abstract

This work has as objective to present a literature review on the use of a Conceptual System proposed by King, the Theory of the Goals Attainment of King (1981) or both in the practical assistance of nursing. It is a bibliographical research where results present their use in the areas of Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Family Health, Nursing and Administration, Pediatric Nursing, medical Nursing, Surgical Nursing, Nursing in Intensive Therapy, Woman’s Health, Geriatric and Gerontological Nursing and Community Nursing. The use of a nursing theory to systemize the assistance establishes a guide for the implementation of this methodology, considering all the given care will have to be based by the considerations claimed in the chosen theory.
