Abstract

Playing for the infant is one of the ways that it has to understand the world around itself. Through playing it overflows its feelings and passes whatever it is thinking. Thus, the aim of this study was to show a reflection on the use of the toy during the hospitalization as a way of minimizing the situation being lived. The benefits in using the therapeutic toy can be noticed since incursion procedures in the unit itself, as well as in the pre-operation visit by the nurse in the surgery center.

    possui graduação em Enfermagem pela Faculdade de Educação Ciências e Letras de Cascavel (1987) , especialização em Administração Hospitalar pelo Centro Universitário São Camilo - Campus Pompeia (1987) e mestrado em Enfermagem Fundamental [Rib. Preto] pela Universidade de São Paulo (2000) . Atualmente é Professor Assistente B da Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná.
