Abstract

The humanization of health assistance has been subject for reflections among workers and students of the health area, since there is a lot to be constructed to offer humanized assistance to the users of the Basic Health System. Considering this idea, the following study aimed at identifying the perception of the health service nurses of a town in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul in relation to the humanization of health assistance. It is an exploratory-descriptive research, with a qualitative methodological approach, which involved 37 nurses responding to a questionnaire, being the data analysis performed individually, searching for the support on the pertinent literature. As a result, it was highlighted that, in order to have a humanized service, it is necessary besides physical area, cleanliness and the good aspect of the unit, that the patient is integrally assisted, heard with attention, waiting for a little time to be assisted. Besides that, it is necessary that the nurses perform and strengthen the pleasure of working for such patients, which will reflect on the assistance given.
