The study aimed at to apprehend the midwives and faith healers social representations. It is an exploratory study of qualitative approach accomplished in Brasília and the Entorno area, using the technique of semi-structured interview. Ten subjects took part on the study. The Alceste software was used as a resource to support the analysis of the interviews. The results point that different epistemological bases produce different social representations originating different forms of care. It is concluded that it is necessary an interaction of elements capable of re-unite the meaning of care in order to put the human back as the center of the humanization politics.Downloads
