Nursing in mental health - studies focused on health promotion produced from 2002 to 2006

Abstract
This is a bibliographical study with the objective of characterizing the studies produced by Post-graduation Stricto Sensu in Nursing on mental health focusing on health promotion. For that, 104 abstracts of dissertations produced on 'mental health' theme were researched in the Theses Bank of Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - CAPES, from 2002 to 2006. It was observed that the productions come mostly from Southeast region of Brazil and are of qualitative approach. The themes reflect aspects of mental health in the context of health promotion, including the evaluation of health policies and practices, determinants of health-disease process, Nursing practices, family as care environment, and occupational health. It was noticed that the researchers are prioritizing the norms supported by the Psychiatric Reform and by the current paradigm of Health Promotion.Downloads
