Abstract

With the psychiatric reform, new treatment concepts came up to the persons who has experienced psychological suffering. These are concepts wich correspond to services that extinguish the hospitalocentric model, opening proposals to typified services such as Psychosocial Attention Center, Psychosocial Attention Core, Therapeutic Workshops, among others. This work is the result of the application of an experience of body shop work, in people suffering from mental disorder who attended the Núcleo de Oficinas Terapêuticas e do Trabalho service, in Porto Ferreira, a city in the State of São Paulo. The purpose was to describe and report the experience of “Grupo FISIO” as a strategy of care during body therapeutic workshop facing the process of psychosocial rehabilitation. Was applicate the experience report of a user of this service, showing that expressive bodies activities, that maked possible the socialization through the movement, advancing to the improvement in handicraft for the accomplishment of the workshops, as well as trading of the products, hence rescuing the exercise of citizenship.
