Abstract
The goal of this research is to evaluate the implementation of the numerical scale of pain intensity on patients submitted to tonsillectomy by the nursing professionals. It is a descriptive, transversal study, with a quantitative approach. The data was collected from fifty patients and seven nursing professionals, using a semi-structured questionnaire. The results regarding pain intensity evaluation through a numerical scale were from moderate to worst pain. The implementation of this numerical scale for pain evaluation, along with vital signs, will provide proper pain control and minimization, making easier the intervention by doctors and nursing professionals.Downloads
