Reating a questionnaire to be used in population inquiries. Methodological notes

Abstract

Health inquiries allow knowing the population health needs, and subsidize the formulation and evaluation of public politics. The questionnaire to be used in the inquiries is of great importance on the research. The present literature revision has the objective of guiding the construction of questionnaires suitable to be applied in inquiries of population base, avoiding mistakes commonly seen and described by the literature. The noncompliance of fundamental stages, as the exhausting discussion of the research instrument and a previous test, will inevitably lead to a loss of validity and reliability of the results of the research. It is highlighted the fundamental role of the questionnaire, which ceases being just a simple detail and becomes the protagonist in obtaining quality information.
