Conceptualizing the nursing practice from Paulo Freire’s approach

Abstract
Freire´s proposals have greatly influenced the professional, political and affective background of educators. Nursing has been assuming his concepts and methods aiming to reach changes in its doing. The following text explains concepts built from Paulo Freire´s findings, which support an assisting practice of questioning the daily work, along with nurses and nursing assistants, towards their awareness as workers of the nursing staff. Hence, the following concepts are described: man, dialogue, work, nursing, education, questioning and awareness.Downloads
