Abstract
With this paper we aim at reporting the main challenges and conquests, under a management point of view, with regards to Nursing Assistance Systematization (SAE), in light of the methodology of reality problematization. The study was performed in a health facility, located in Pelotas, South Rio Grande do Sul, from January 2004 to January 2005, with 40 nursing care providers of that facility. The experience shows that even with the scarcity of human resources, disbelief and unpreparedness of many professionals, the process of SAE implantation has been successful as long as dialogue and reflexive management strategies were developed over the collective, which were able to turn into a problematic issue the reductive action of doing things in a technical and bureaucratic way. In short, SAE represents an important information tool since it favors the implantation of assistance patterns and criteria as well as the establishment of assistance priorities.Downloads
