Spirituality is an important therapeutic support for patients HIV positive. This article describes the nursing care process for a patient with HIV/aids according to the spiritual variablel of the Betty Neuman theory. The spiritual variable points to the spirituality as theocentric by nature, in which the person searches for meaning and relationship with God, determining as spiritual aspects, the spiritual dimension, spiritual well-being, spiritual needs and care, and spiritual anguish. In order to keep or restore the patient well-being level, the nursing intervention occurs in a primary, secondary and tertiary level.Downloads
