Abstract

This study shows the perceptions of college students in the senior year of Nursing with regard to family. The research was performed when developing, together with the students of the 6th and 7th semesters of the Nursing and Obstetrics Course at The Federal University of Pelotas-RS, a methodology to understand the family. Three analysis categories were established: what they understand as family; what they understand by taking care of families and what difficulties are found when taking care of families.
