Abstract
The aims of this research are both to characterize and present the results of the work carried out with mentally handicapped patients under a “Day Care” program. This program took place in an institution known as Association of Parents and Friends of the Mentally Handicapped (APAE), State of São Paulo, Brazil. The data set was obtained through medical case notes and reports on patients’ progress. The analysis of these data showed the importance of the program as well as the variables that affect the evolution of the patients.Downloads
