Women perception on times of a pregnancy

Abstract
This article presents part of the results of a qualitative reserarch developed with the objective of exploring and understanding the period of a pregnancy, from the pregnant women perspective. The emphasis is given on how women notice and limit the times of a pregnancy. The data was collected from four sample groups in a total of 96 pregnant women. The "Grouded Theory" was adopted as the methodological parameter and the active observation was the data collecting method. When experiencing a pregnancy, women identify the existence of three stages in the period of pregnancy is noted in a different form than those classically adopted by the health professionals.Downloads
