Abstract

In this article I intend to argue how the construction of the hybrid concept can be understood within the general framework of the Brazilian and Portuguese film society movement, both deeply committed to the appreciation of artistic cinema. In the wake of the theoretical and methodological scales from Foucault, I attempt to show how the formation of something as a cinematic field was inseparable from the concept of hybridity.
