POUR UNE ANTHROPOLOGIE ET UNE HISTOIRE REGRESSIVE DE LA GUERRE DE LA TRIPLE ALLIANCE (2000-1870)
Abstract
Resumo. A proposta deste artigo é analisar o impacto da Guerra da Tríplice Aliança desde a perspectiva da antropologia e da história retrospectiva, apoiadas na etnografia, em entrevistas em língua guarani, bem como na pesquisa em arquivos do departamento de Misiones, no Paraguai. Depois de mais de cento e trinta anos do fim da guerra, as histórias familiares e as genealogias muito antigas evidenciam que o ano de 1870 ainda é vivenciado como um novo e completo começo. Em primeiro lugar, fizemos uma distinção de tipos de memórias: mítica (lenda do jaguar), rompimento (parentesco), bloqueio (mulheres forçadas a ir à guerra porque todos os homens tinham morrido) e manipulação (política). Em segundo lugar, mostramos como a grande maioria da população – em particular, pardos e índios –, praticamente desapareceu durante o conflito, tanto do ponto de vista físico e como categoria social. Abstract. An anthropology and a regressive history on the impact of the Triple Alliance war, based on ethnography, interviews in Guarani and investigation in the Misiones archives, a Paraguayan region, are provided. More than 130 years after the end of the war, family’s stories and genealogies reveal to what the year 1870 is still lived as a total new beginning. Types of memory, such as the mythical (jaguar’s legend), broken (kinship), blocked (women forced to go to war because all men must die) and manipulated (politics) classes are distinguished. It will further be seen how most of the prewar population, especially pardos and Indians effectively disappear during the conflict, physically and as a social category.Downloads
