¿Es posible medir la influencia de Aristóteles en Alejandro Magno? Fuentes antiguas e historiadores modernos entre la especulación y la crítica histórica
Resumen
Este artículo examina relatos antiguos sobre la interacción entre Aristóteles y Alejandro, así como su interpretación por parte de dos historiadores dedicados al análisis de la vida del rey y que la tratan desde una perspectiva encomiástica: Robin Lane Fox (1973) y Peter Green (1991). Por lo tanto, esta investigación se divide en tres etapas. En primer lugar, se introduce el tema de investigación a partir de premisas importantes respecto a lo que se sabe de la vida tanto del filósofo como del rey. Luego explora dos de los comentarios historiográficos más influyentes sobre su interacción. Finalmente, se analiza el texto de Plutarco consultado por estos historiadores.
