Balance and optimization from the perspective of mathematics doi:10.4025/enfoque.v27i2.7345
Abstract
Education, as a source of knowledge, has a remarkable importance in a student's personal and professional development, especially when it brings out the interdisciplinarity that the array of knowledge areas may display. Therefore, the objective of this study is to highlight the interdisciplinary content of cost accounting, specifically from the point of equilibrium (PE) and optimization, with certain principles of mathematics. Thestudy is classified according to the following aspects: (a) problem approach, as a qualitative research; (b) itsobjectives, as descriptive; and, (c) based on technical procedures, the instrument applied was the bibliographicresearch. The study used mathematical principles of determinants, a first-degree equation system andarithmetic progression. The results show that it is possible to relate cost accounting issues to some mathematicsprinciples, in which teachers should take the role of facilitator and provide a broad view of the applicationareas of the concepts students are taught, thus promoting better learning, broadening the horizon ofknowledge, which may enhance logical-cognitive ability and theoretical-practical knowledge.Downloads
