Abstract
There was a study of the perceptions of professionals working in the field of accounting and finance a multinational company in chemical industry, here called beta, as to the practices of recovery and preservation of corporate memory and reuse of knowledge in solving the organization problems. We analyzed the following factors: registration process, maintenance, search, recovery and reuse of information in the area. There was a research in 61 locations in Latin America. The analysis of data indicated that, there is concern regarding the preservation of corporate memory and reuse of knowledge in accounting and finance. The responses indicate that those seeking the information are almost always within the company and that there is a concern on the part of professionals in the area to look past experiences when they need to troubleshoot the organization.
