THE URBAN WEB IN THE WEST PARANÁ THEME AND THE INSERTION OF THE SMALL CITY OF MEDIANEIRA

Abstract

The present work aims to discuss about the theoretical questions, which involves the urban web in the West of Parana theme and the insertion of the small city of Medianeira and also present partly the results of the search – thesis in construction period. The methodology used was the qualitative approach, basing on the theoretical and empirical referential, analyzing the data to the composition of the activities created in fieldwork. The reason for the studies about urban webs have constituted an important tradition in the geographical scope comes from the awareness of the meaning which the urbanization process has had, above all from the 19^th century, when it started to reflect and condition crucial changes in the society. In the context of the urbanization process, the urban web became the form through which production, circulation and consume actually succeeded. Following this logic, the West of Parana mesoregion has been through a deep restructuring of its productive basis. The changes occurred in the state of Parana and the understanding of the West Region growth are straight related to the population dynamic, which influences in the regional production structure formation,  understand a region it is need to understand the location of the population and the form as it influences in the occupation of the regional space.
