AS CHUVAS DE JUNHO E A PRIMEIRA ONDA DE FRIO INTENSO DE 2013: A ATUAÇÃO DOS SISTEMAS ATMOSFÉRICOS E O RITMO CLIMÁTICO PARA A REGIÃO DE MARINGÁ

Abstract

The months of June and July 2013, were climatologically marked by high altitude rain and a strong cold wave, responsible for records of negative temperatures in the three southern states, snowfall and frosts in several localities of South Brazil. In the region of Maringá , heavy rains made the river levels rise to the point of isolate cities. This study made the rhythmic analysis for the months of June and July (in daily scale) and Troll’s isograms (in hourly scale). We quantified the participation and quantification of air masses in the active region during the months of June and July. Therefore, we used meteorological data obtained from the National Institute of Meteorology (INMET) and analyzed Synoptic Charts prepared by the Navy of Brazil. As a result, there was obtained histograms showing the progress of the masses of air and the changes those atmospheric systems causes in the weather. The graphics are in an excellent tool for the analysis and interpretation of climatic elements. Through them it was possible to see the time that was the culmination of negative temperature and days with more rainfall without resorting to extensive reading tables.
