Abstract

Territory is one of the concepts of study of Geography. To speak in territory is to understand that there is a notion of power and identity of a social group that materializes, in space, its forces, actions and relations. In the Campanha Gaúcha new territorialities have materialized, grounding the constitution of a territory of wine that unites the local identities to the new efforts of power, economy and society. In these efforts is the Vinhos da Campanha Association, builder of relations and means for the expansion of wine and responsible for the synergy of local forces. Thus, this text aims to discuss, firstly, the concept of territory in Geography and later the territorialities that evidence the formation of a wine territory in the Campanha Gaúcha, through the performance of the Vinhos da Campanha Association. For this, the research starts from a qualitative approach that leads the field work and the literature review as an instrument for the development of the research.
